notalkAs I am finally getting back to the point where I can begin to post more regularly to The Watering Hole”  I ran across a Facebook post, the other day, putting down political correctness because of how it interferes with true communication. When I tried to come back to it to post a comment, I could not find it. I wonder if Facebook doesn’t like people putting down being Politically Correct?

Then I saw this quote: “Doctor Ben Carson urged Americans to abandon their touchiness over political correctness as it will thwart them from expressing what they really believe.”  another good observation regarding the bad side of trying to be politically correct.

As I got to thinking about it I began to see that something similar is happening in the Churches of God. Think about it. Many of our groups of brethren are being told that they cannot communicate with their brethren because they are in a different group. This “Spiritual Correctness” that is being taught in these groups breaks down communication and keeps people from discussing what they really believe.

I cannot imagine that God likes to see this behavior in His people. We can expect it from the world but within the body of Christ it aught not to be.

Mal 3:16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.
Mal 3:17 And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

God the Father focuses on those who speak often to one another and fear Him and think on His name. Their names are even written in a book of remembrance for that time when He will make up His jewels. He will save them at that time.

Can we see how strongly God feels about our being able to communicate with our brethren? God has said that He will take His people away from those ministers who abuse them in these kinds of ways, in Ezekiel 34 and Jeremiah 23.

It is this kind of thinking within the Body of Christ that we need to see and wake up. We should not allow this kind of thinking to prevail.
