During the feast this year I was speaking with 2 ladies and one of them brought up several scriptures that seem to discuss when Christ was going to finish the seventy weeks prophecy, I want to add this to the article here called 1335 – The Gathering of God’s People.
I thought I would post my thoughts on it here to see if any of you might have comments regarding my conclusions.
The Messiah prophesied to come 70 prophetic weeks from the “going forth of the commandment to build Jerusalem” Here are the scriptures in Daniel that speak of it:
The Seventy Weeks
Dan 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
Dan 9:25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
Dan 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
The Messiah was cut off in the middle of the last week of this prophecy, leaving 3 1/2 years to be yet fulfilled. When He returns to the earth He will have confirmed His covenant. But when will he finish that last 3 1/2 years?
In the 1335 article I show that at 1335 days before the return of Christ to the earth to rule, He gathers certain members of His Church who have been accounted worthy to escape the terrible tribulation that is coming. A tribulation that is prophesied to end in 3 1/2 years.
Luk_21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
According to the article, Christ will gather His people from all over the world using angels to gather them together in one place. At that point, they wait until they see the abomination which makes desolate, and then they flee as a group to the place that has been prepared for them to ride out the Great Tribulation.
Rev 12:14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
According to Daniel the Abomination of Desolation occurs 1290 days before the return of Christ.
Dan 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
I can continue in this vein but this is all in the 1335 Article if you wish to review it. Here is a link to an article on the HWA Library Site entitled Daniel 9 proves Jesus is the Messiah. It contains much of this as well.
So back to the point of this post.
What did Christ do during that first 3 1/2 years of His ministry.
Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week
He confirmed the covenant with many. He called His disciples and taught them in person. He confirmed His covenant with them. Doesn’t it seem reasonable that He will do the same during the last 3 1/2 years that complete the 70 weeks prophecy?
Let’s look at the scriptures I mentioned at the beginning of this post:
Moses’ Final Blessing on Israel
Deu 33:1 And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.
Deu 33:2 And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.
Deu 33:3 Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words.
Here is shows Christ at the end of the age of man sitting down with Christ and receiving instructions in a manner similar to the way He taught the Disciples in the first 3 1/2 years.
Hab 3:1 A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet upon Shigionoth.
Hab 3:2 O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.
Hab 3:3 God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise.
Hab 3:4 And his brightness was as the light; he had horns coming out of his hand: and there was the hiding of his power.
In context this seems to me to be talking about a time shortly before He comes in power. Note it is a time called in midst of the years. Could this be referring to that last 3 1/2 years He has yet to fulfill? In His wrath He remembered mercy to account some worthy to escape what is coming. Also note the phrase “hiding of His Power” When Christ returns to begin His Kingdom rule on the earth there will be no hiding of His power. But there might well be if He gathers His people to a place of safety. Hiding them from what is happening.
Dan 11:45 And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.
Note: The Beast Power is moving His headquarters to the Holy Land
Dan 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
Now when the abomination of desolation is set up our people flee on the land to a place prepared for them. Michael will obviously be leading us on the ground as a group much as he did ancient Israel.
In fact look at what Christ is personally doing in this Laodicean ERA of the Church. He is working with individuals. Knocking on the door of their minds asking them to open the door and let him come in and sup with them.
Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Isn’t eating with Christ tantamount to being fed spiritually? Just as He did with his disciples during the first 3 1/2 years of the prophetic 70th week?
I beleive brethren that we, at least those who have been accounted worthy to escape, will sit at the feet of Christ being taught everything we need to know before we are resurrected at the last Trump. It will be kind of like what happened with Paul during those 3 1/2 years when he was in Eygpt being taught personally by Christ.
Sounds like a great time to me and I sure would like to be a part of it.
