What does this refer to, to whom does it apply to, what is going to happen at the 1335 and how do we know?

Most of the congregations in the Churches of God are anxiously awaiting the return of Jesus Christ at the Resurrection of the Saints. But there is another event closer in time that directly affects the Body of Christ. Even before the Great Tribulation begins this event will have a terrific impact on the entire church of the Laodiceans. I am of course speaking of that time when Christ will reveal Himself to the Church and take those who are deemed worthy to escape to a place of Safety. The only place in the bible where that number is mentioned is in Daniel 12:12.

At any rate here is what it says:

(Dan 12:12)  Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.

The sentence structure seems to suggest that there are two parts to what is being discussed here in this verse. First that He that waits is to be blessed. Someone is waiting apparently for this number to arrive. Second the number itself appears to have significance to the event that is being waited for.` So lets look in the chapter for clarity.

Daniel 12:1 one reads: And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

So the beginning of the chapter is referring to the time of Jacob’s Trouble and the end time scenarios. Now in verse 7 we see that Daniel refers to the time times and half a time. This time will last 1260 days/3.5 prophetic years.

(Dan 12:7)  And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

How do we figure this? What is this times, time and half a time?  A prophetic year is generally considered to be 360 days in length.  The original length of the year was 360 days, as the book of Genesis implies.  During the time of Noah 5 months equaled 150 days (thus 30 days per month; this would extrapolate out as 360 days in 12 months – see Gen.7:11; 8:3-4).  Also, in Biblical language one “time” equals one year.  In Daniel 7:25 we read that an evil end-time king will persecute God’s people “for a time, times, and half a time.”  Revelation says this king will reign and persecute God’s people for “forty two months” (Rev.13:5-7; 11:2).  So 3 1/2 “times” equals 42 months; divide 42 months by 12 and you get 3 and one half years!  Now 42 months, with 30 days per month, comes to 1260 literal days in actual fulfillment (compare Rev.12:6 and 14).  Thus one “time,” therefore, equals one year, and three and one half “times” equals 3 1/2 years; and 360 days times 3 1/2 years, equals 1,260 days (compare Rev.12:6,14; also Rev.11:2-3).

When does the period of 1260 days or three and one half years commence?  And when does it end?  And what about the 1290 days, and the 1335 days also mentioned in this chapter?Next verses 10-11 tells us that there will be 1290 days from the time that daily sacrifice is taken away that the wicked will do wickedly. And then comes the verse 12 that tells us about the 1335 days.

(Dan 12:10)  Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
(Dan 12:11)  And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
(Dan 12:12)  Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.

So we have a series of days lasting 1260 – 1290 – 1335 days. They seem to be  be all tied together in a special way in this chapter whose main subject is the “End-Time”. Lets look at the order of the days, many seem to think that these days start with the 1260 and run out in that time frame going into the time when Christ has returned, yet the 1290 must refer to a time before the 1260 because they were to flee the destruction shown to happen during the 1260.(we will see that proven a little later) Again most people try to run them in sequential order in the other direction(1260-1290-1335) when it is in reality the other direction that is being shown (1335-1290-1260) Additionally the 1335 is a time to be waited for and a blessing is afforded those who have in fact held fast and patiently waited till this indicated time period begins. This denotes the start of a period of time not the ending of it. So now lets recap what we know from Daniel and fill in with some scriptures from elsewhere that will add clarity: The 1260 days refers to the time that is called Jacob’s Trouble, which is brought about by the 5th seal of Revelation 6:9.

Rev 6:9      And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:

Mat 24:21  For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

Jer 30:7     Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

Mat 24:15    When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

Mat 24:16    Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

Mat 24:17    Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

Mat 24:18   Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

Mat 24:19   And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

Mat 24:20   But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

Mat 24:21   For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

Mat 24:22   And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

Here you can see clearly that what is referenced in Matthew 24:15 is the 1290 mentioned in Daniel 12:11 that starts when the Abomination of Desolation is set in place, it is the date that gives the signal, that tells God’s people who are assembled at or near  Jersualem to flee. We will then have 30 days to make it to the place of safety. 1290-1260 = 30 days.

Some have said that the Great Tribulation will begin at this 1290 marker but that is not what this marker is for. It does not denote the beginning of the Great Tribulation, rather it is the warning to the People of God who have been gathered together in Jerusalem or someplace in Judea that it is time to flee to the place that has been prepared for them as a place of safety during the Great Tribulation. Look at Revelation 12:

Rev 12:14  And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
Rev 12:15  And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
Rev 12:16  And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
Rev 12:17  And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Do you see how this ties into the end-time dates given in Daniel 12. The 1260 is the beginning of the time, times and half a time 3 1/2 years of the Beast Power ruling in the Great Tribulation while the 1290 is the signal to the church(the woman) that the 1260 is about to begin and they have to get to that place prepared from them. It is interesting to note that the Church is only told to flee from Judea.

Again see what Matthews says:

Our people are in Jerusalem watching carefully what is happening in the Temple, Something is going to be placed in the Holy place at a time when armies are surrounding Jerusalem and we have to flee immediately when that happens. There is apparently no time to delay. We know that we are going flee to the place of safety as a group because Rev 12:14-17 that I just read says that satan is going to send a flood after the woman who is going to her place that has been prepared for her. So the question is how did the church get to Jerusalem or Judea? How did we know to go there and how, given the difficulties of international travel in today’s world and the likelihood that it will get much worse after the 4 horsemen come to an end, will we in fact get there?

Well that brings us to the third group of numbers the 1335 days, which is said to be a time where those that wait for it or could I say just as well have been watching for it, will be blessed if we can hold on and wait for it to arrive.

Notice what Luke 17:22 says

(Luk 17:22)  And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.

Talking about the return of Christ Luke says that we will desire to see a certain day of “the days”. What one day is he referring to here? It was talking about seeing Christ again on a specific day. Notice that the disciples would not see it.(because they would have died centuries before this day was to come)

Now notice in Luke 17:30 Luke speaks of a specific day when the Son of Man will be revealed.

(Luk 17:30)  Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

Here is a specific Day that the disciples will not see but that will be seen by his people at the end time. Look what else is said next in verse 31.

(Luk 17:31)  In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.

Similar wording to Matthew 24 but there is  no mention here of Judea or the Temple. This is tied to a single event, a unique and wonderful event, an event that we as a church have been waiting for for a long long time, an event that the original Apostles would have wanted to see but would not because they have died long before it was to happen.

Here in the day(a single day) when the Son of Man is “REVEALED” we are told to rush away from where we are at that moment in time. It goes on to tell us  to not be like Lot’s wife and look back or try to save our lives. A note here that when Lot’s wife looked back she was in fact being led away from Sodom by God’s Holy Angels.

It appears that Christ will be revealed to his people on a certain day and as we will see a few verses later, He will gather them to himself since they are to leave and not look back or even try to take any thing with them.

Please consider here, we are to leave from wherever we happen to be when Christ is revealed to us. To leave without taking anything with us? Doesn’t sound like we are going to get a plane does it? How can we be expected to do that? No passport, no money or clothes? What if there is no vehicle where we are or we don’t have one how are we to go anywhere? Think about that for a moment as it becomes clear later.

What does the greek say this word revealed means:

apokalupto¯Thayer Definition:1) to uncover, lay open what has been veiled or covered up1a) disclose, make bare2) to make known, make manifest, disclose what before was unknownPart of Speech: verbA Related Word by Thayer’s/Strong’s Number: from G575 and G2572

Citing in TDNT: 3:563, 405

Strongs Definition

From G575 and G2572; to take off the cover, that is, disclose: – reveal.

Now I don’t know about you but I find it very interesting to compare how the word take off the cover or to lay open compares so easily to opening a door. which Rev 3:20 so clearly shows that Christ’s work in Laodicea as knocking on the door of each of His individual brethren. So that we might open the door to Him. And if they do so, meaning to repent, to begin to watch and get ready, they will be truly ready when He opens the door or takes off the covering to Reveal Himself at the 1335.

So how is this going to happen? What’s next?

Well verses 34-36 now tell an amazing and exciting prophecy of something that will happen on that SAME DAY that Christ is revealed to His people. Lets read it.

(Luk 17:34)  I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.

(Luk 17:35)  Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

(Luk 17:36)  Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Remember this is in the context of a single day. A special day that even the Apostles were not going to see. A day which Christ will be revealed in some way to His people.

Hold your place but look at Malichi 3:1 and perhaps we can see it in a somewhat different way now;

Mal 3:1  Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me:(obviously speaking of Mr. Armstrong in his role as the Elijah to come) and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.

Consider that this happens after the Mat 24:14 prophecy has been fulfilled, it happens suddenly, Christ shows up and is REVEALED to His people(the temple of God)

I submit to you that this, given what we now understand about Luke 17:30, which by the way was understood by the church(the WCG), this is referring to Christ being Revealed to His people is a single day, a day that the disciples would desire to see. A day when His people who are accounted worthy to escape are asked to flee away from their homes without taking anything with them. This single day of the many Days of the Son of Man is that 1335 date that we have been watching and waiting for.

Working backwards we can see that the 1260 is the time of Great tribulation, that the 1290 is the day when an event happens that signals the church gathered together in Jerusalem are to flee to the place of safety. It also tells us exactly when the 1260 will begin – 30 days after the start of the 1290. A day 30 days before the days of the Great Tribulation begin. Remember that according to scripture Satan comes after the assembled church that is fleeing in the wilderness to a place of safety first. Then, after that, He goes after the remnant of God’s people those who have not at that time been accounted worthy.

This is the 30 days difference.(1290-1260) So now we see a single day where God’s people are told to leave their homes and to flee. But how will they flee where will they go, how will they live once they get wherever they are going? Lots of good questions lets see if there are more answers. Now turn back to Luke 17:34-37 speaking of a day when some of his people will be taken away while others will be left behind. That is the context. One being taken away and one being left behind.

Why would that be? Why is one taken and one left. Hold your place here because we are coming back. Look now at Luke 21:34-36

(Luk 21:34)  And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

(Luk 21:35)  For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

(Luk 21:36)  Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

What shall come as a snare? Verse 21 says in context that these be the days of vengeance, when there will be great distress in the land. Obviously referring to the days of the Great Tribulation. This is what is a snare to God’s people, if we do not heed Christ and get ourselves ready in time we will indeed be snared by the Great Tribulation and not be taken.

Now notice that we are to be watching and praying to be counted worthy to escape these tribulations that are coming on the world. Apparently if we are not doing these things we can be taken unawares and then what? What happens if we are indeed taken unaware and not ready? We are not accounted worthy and therefore Christ does not reveal Himself to those whom He has not accounted worthy.

So that brings us back to Luke 17: 37. We saw that Christ is Revealed in a single day and that in that day those to whom Christ is revealed are to leave their homes without taking anything with them.

What happens then? We just saw that some were taken and some were left. What would be on the minds of the disciples at that time? Where are they being taken and how are they taken there. This is exactly what verse 37 tells us.

(Luk 17:37)  And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.

While I understand that this is speculation everything here indicates that the eagles are the angels of God gathering His people together in Jerusalem so that they can be there as a group and leave as a group at the 1290.

But lets look in the word for more indicators, that the eagles being discussed here are indeed angels. First a little bit of logic. We are being asked to leave without taking anything with us. No clothes, money, passports. Nothing. How would we be able to go anywhere unless Christ supernaturally makes it happen.

There are some examples of Christ using angels and special vehicles to move His people from one place to another. The story of Elijah and the Fiery Chariot comes to mind in

2Ki_2:11  And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

Now look at Matthew:

Mat_24:31  And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

This is not talking only about the dead in Christ but also those who are still alive. He is using Angels to gather His people so why not angels to gather that blessed group of God’s people who have been accounted worthy to escape what is coming. Angels have been referred to as eagles before, in fact the group who flies to the wilderness from Jerusalem are to be given 2 wings of a GREAT ANGEL. Do you remember in Daniel 12:1 it is Michael one of the Great Angels who stands up for Israel. Indeed the eagles spoken of here are angels who will supernaturally take us to a gathering place in Jerusalem at the 1335 to get organized and await the 1290 signal to flee as a group to the place prepared for the woman.

Some of God’s people are “taken” some are not. They are taken where the eagles are gathered in a single day from all over the world a selected group of God’s people those to whom He revealed Himself are gathered by these “eagles/angels” to a single place where they can be gathered together.  This is the gathering together of God’s people who are accounted worthy of escaping what is coming on the world. This how we are gathered together in Jerusalem.

Matthew tells us to watch and ALSO be ready.

(Mat 24:42)  Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
(Mat 24:44)  Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

Can you see how “watching for something to happen so that you won’t be taken unawares is the same as “waiting for it to happen or waiting for the 1335”?

Now notice in verse 46 of the same chapter;

(Mat 24:46)  Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. “Blessed” is that servant whom the Lord will find so doing (watching and getting ready) when HE RETURNS!

Now what did we read in Daniel 12:12?

(Dan 12:12)  Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.

Turn now to Malachi 3

Mal 3:16  Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.
Mal 3:17  And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
Mal 3:18  Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.

So if we put this together we see that God’s people in the end time are waiting for Christ to be revealed, that those who are watching and preparing for that event are considered to be blessed and that God will spare them and that it will be Christ himself who determines who will be spared and who will not.

He is gathering these people to himself on a specific day in time, the 1335 days before His return as King of Kings. Consider that it will take some time for all his people to be organized and made ready at that point in time and space where they are gathered. 45 days (the time between the 1335 and the 1290) would not seem overly long to take a group of people who have been gathered by eagles(angels) to a gathering spot to get organized and begin to watch for a signal to leave and go as a group to the place of safety.

We know from scriptures that His people will travel in a group and that satan will try to attack them on the way to the place of safety. Now we know how and when we are gathered. At the 1335. At the 1290 when the sacrifice is taken away is when it is time, according to God’s plan, for us to flee as a group.

(Mat 24:15)  When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

Notice the reference to Daniel 12 – this is the beginning of the 1290 days. 30 days after this the Tribulation begins

(Mar 13:14)  But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:

Notice that it is talking about people in Judea. This is where those who are taken by the angels are gathered and it is from here that we are to flee to the place of safety in the wilderness. (Mar 13:15)  And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house: Again it is an immediate task. When the sign comes we must flee as a group at that moment to be safe.

Notice what Luke has to say:

(Luk 21:20)  And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
(Luk 21:21)  Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
(Luk 21:22)  For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

It is obvious that both armies and the abomination of desolation must be taken together as the sign. And if the 1335 starts the gathering then it is also a count down to the 1290 when the abomination is set up with armies surrounding Jerusalem. We will then have 30 days to reach our destination before the Great Tribulation comes on the world.

Here is what I read in the word describing the 1335 and what happens on that day and the days that follow till the return of Christ. Our work delivering the Knock of Jesus Christ to Laodicea is a message to prepare His people for that event at the 1335. The physical gathering of those of His people who have been found ready and watching and thereby counted worthy to escape the Great Tribulation. His people have to open themselves to Christ by real repentance the only way to open the door to him. And not only watching but ALSO getting ready for the Gathering so that they might be indeed accounted worthy to escape.

What if we consider the message that God gives us in Ezekiel 34 and Jeremiah 23 as being a real prophecy of what is going to happen in the end time. God is going to regather His people Himself –
Eze 34:10  Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them.
Eze 34:11  For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out.

God has said that He is going to take His sheep from the Shepherds and gather them together Himself. At the 1335 in that Special Day when Christ is revealed to His people, those people who have responded to His knock and prepared themselves, who have worked out there own salvation so to speak and have made themselves ready, He will gather them to Jerusalem using His angels and Michael the Archangel will then take them to the place that has been prepared. This is not a “Group Matter” in fact groups are not relevant at all in this matter. Whether you are deemed worthy to escape and be gathered together with the Body of Christ at the 1335 Gathering is between you and God ALONE! Brethren this is in fact the culmination of and the purpose of “The Knock of Laodicea” to prepare and gather those of His people who will hear Him and open the door by repentance and preparation that they might be counted worthy at the 1335!
