Most of us, as we go through life, rarely get into a situation that we lose total control over. And because of that we don’t truly know how close we are to that helpless situation in our lives. If you have never been in a situation or circumstance like that you really have no idea of what you will be feeling.
I am presently going through what feels like a life threatening situation. I believe that I am making positive progress but I am not out of the woods yet. But what it made me see is how desperate I am for God’s presence and help.
It’s kind of akin to how God speaks of the Laodicean church ERA’s attitude. They feel safe and comfortable, they feel rich and protected, not understanding that they are really blind and naked and miserable. They are totally vulnerable and have no idea.
The reason they don’t see is that for so long God has not tested that rich and comfortable feeling that they have. They feel that they have need of nothing not understanding how truly close to disaster they are.
Many are lulled into a sense of false security by a Ministry that teaches them that God is going to gather His people back together again into a huge organization like we had in the Philadelphian ERA of the church.
God scattered the Philadelphian Church group into hundreds of splinters and many of us long for the unity of organization we had back then, not understanding there was a need for the people to learn to make decisions about what they had learned on their own. So that the first minster of apparent stature that offers them that Large scale unity and organization, that promise of being brought back together in one large group again, has a tremendous appeal.
And yet search as I may I cannot find a single scripture that talks of gathering the church back together before the coming of Christ short of the Work that God is doing in deciding who will be taken to a place of safety and who will be left behind. And that gathering is shown by God removing his sheep from a ministry that is abusing them. (I am not accusing all of the ministries as being abusive but God says that there are some who are.) He also states that He will gather His people before the return of Christ but not all…..
Eze 34:10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them.
Eze 34:11 For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out.
Eze 34:12 As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.
This talks about Spiritual Israel as well as Physical Israel.
But the point I am making is that because many have been taught to believe that their “Minister” is going to gather all of God’s people back together before the end comes and because many think that the witness work of Matthew 24:14 [The Plain Truth of Matthew 24:14]is still going on, that they have more time than they do before the Great Tribulation and the events that precede it and bring it on happen. A wrong sense of the Prophetic time lines leave us with a false sense of security.
Just as I have found myself in desperate need of God’s help and assistance and was totally unprepared for that event in my life so will they be when the terrible events brought about by the culmination of the 4 Horsemen bring the Beast Power of Revelation to the forefront of World Dominance.
The faith of many will be sorely tried. But if we can be made to see the big picture more clearly then perhaps we can concentrate more fully on being ready for God to decide whether we should go or stay.
Haven’t you ever thought about WHY the work that Christ is doing in Laodicea is so different than the work that He did in Philadelphia?
Rev 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
He is working with the individual now not the corporate group or an individual Apostle or Elijah figure. No matter how engrossed some of our leaders appear to be, in making them selves into Apostles and Elijah figures, so they can justify trying to draw all of us under their control.
Christ has one goal now and it has to do with the spiritual health of each and everyone of us. It is a special work only available to the last end time church of God. the Father is going to gather the Body of Christ at the 1335. But some are going to be left behind.
If we open our eyes and get the eye salve that Christ says we need;
Rev 3:18 I counsel thee to ………anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
and repent and become Zealous again. We can begin to understand fully the urgency that this message in Revelation carries. God tells you to PRAY ALWAYS that you might be counted worthy to escape what is coming. Sure sounds like Christ is concerned that you might not make that “cut”. This is a team that we definitely want to be a part of, brethren. But look at the full set of scriptures that contains that statement by Christ:
Luk 21:31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
Luk 21:32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
Luk 21:33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
Luk 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
Luk 21:35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
Luk 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
Notice that this is the last generation before the return of Christ. He is talking to the laodicean Church ERA without question.
He is giving them warning and telling them to take care. But notice how he goes into the danger of surfeiting, drunkenness and the cares of the world? Do you see how similar that descriptive warning is to the statement about Laodicea being rich and having need of nothing?
So we are COMMANDED to watch and pray ALWAYS that we may be accounted worthy to escape. This scripture strongly implies that if we DO NOT Pray and Watch always we will not be counted worthy, does it not?
Christ warned that the delay of His coming would cause some to turn away to slip back into the ways of the world.
Luk 12:45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;
Luk 12:46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
Brethren if we are not fully awake and supping with CHRIST (Rev 3:20) before the 1335 comes then it is quite likely that we will not be accounted worthy of escaping and the only chance we will have after that is to give up our physical lives during the Great Tribulation.
Plan B is not the best option brethren. Let’s all wake up and see our need for God clearly now while there is time. Let’s build our relationship with God so completely that He will have already counted us worthy to escape.
Don’t get caught short like I did and have to live with the debilitating fear that can come from not being in close enough contact with God when the earth truly moves! It is a tough uphill battle all the way once the crisis is upon us. You can make it but the road is truly hard.
