1Co 1:26  For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
1Co 1:27  But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
1Co 1:28  And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
1Co 1:29  That no flesh should glory in his presence.

I wrote a post not long ago entitled: Mighty Men of Valor talking about how we should become these mighty men of valor in our Christian lives. But I kept thinking about it and wondering why it is not like that in so many of our lives. I kept coming back to the scripture quoted above.

This scripture has been given to us so often that we just tend to see ourselves in that way, as being weak and base things being used by God to confound the wise. And in the beginning so it is. But how is the world confounded if we stay that way?

The disciples were just ordinary fishermen many of them and they all ran at the first sign of serious trouble and yet after they received God’s Holy Spirit they were able to stand up to the authorities and to “turn the world upside down” with the power of their conviction.

Act_17:6  And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also;

The word warns us not to think more highly than we aught, and that is true. We dare not think that it is through any strength that is in us that we prosper in Christ. But you see we are not the same people we were when we were called.

2Co 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

We may not yet be fully formed, not fully BORN into God’s Kingdom as the Spirit Beings that we will become but we are well on our way to becoming that with the indwelling of God’s Spirit.

It is clear that God does not want us to stay the same as we were when we were called a study of the parable of the Talents shows that God is not happy with those that do not grow.

Mat 25:14  For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
Mat 25:15  And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.
Mat 25:16  Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.
Mat 25:17  And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.
Mat 25:18  But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money.
Mat 25:19  After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
Mat 25:20  And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
Mat 25:21  His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
Mat 25:22  He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
Mat 25:23  His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
Mat 25:24  Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
Mat 25:25  And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.
Mat 25:26  His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:
Mat 25:27  Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
Mat 25:28  Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
Mat 25:29  For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
Mat 25:30  And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

We are NEW creatures with inception of God’s Spirit with our Spirit. We have become individuals who will one day rule the Universe with God the Father and Christ. We can do ALL things with Christ;

Php_4:13  I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Do not take these words lightly, brethren.

Isa_54:17  No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

Rom 8:28  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Rom 8:29  For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Rom 8:30  Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
Rom 8:31  What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Rom 8:32  He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

Do you see the powerful words describing who we are NOW? Sure we are not [Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.] we are not yet the supermen that we are destined to become as Spirit Beings born into God’s Kingdom.

God uses the experiences of this world to sharpen us to strengthen us to make us better so we will always have trials to overcome that is after all why were were formed as physical human beings to begin with so we could learn to over come and to grow thereby. AND YET, we come through it all BETTER, STRONGER and WISER that before. Every time brethren that life knocks us down we get up again. And next time it takes a little more to knock us down again. This is not about how good we are, it is about the Holy Spirit working in our lives to makes us more than we could ever be on our own.

We are no longer those weak and beggarly humans that were called and chosen to be part of God’s Firstfruits, we have become a new creation. With God’s Holy Spirit in us we have the will, the wisdom, the strength, the patience and endurance to do any thing God wants of us. He has given us spiritual tools that make anything possible.

NEVER see yourselves again as what you were when you began this trek. You are the sons of God now and literally nothing can stand in your way as you accomplish God’s will for you. No more of this “weak of the world” stuff from now on you are the Kings and Priests of God’s Kingdom. That is your destiny and it is who you are RIGHT NOW! You are the ruling CADRE of the Kingdom of God.

Rev_20:4  And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
