Iron Sharpens Iron

(KJV)  Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

It is the belief of those here at the Church of God Community Web that Iron can only sharpen Iron if it touches. Just so a friend cannot bring understanding to a friend unless they are allowed to communicate and discuss subjects of interest or concern.

It seems to me to be wrong to stop brothers from discussing spiritual matters with other brothers. To me it flies in the face of the scripture quoted above. Plus many are even forbidden to “fellowship” with other brothers in Christ because they happen to belong to another group.

Brethren do we belong to groups or to God?

This seems like something that needed to be said out loud in public so I did.

What do you think about that concept? Does it seem wrong to you? Is it right? Should it be implemented in the various groups in which you belong?

Just curious as to what you all believe is right.
