Eternal Church of God    Fox News reported that a video released on Sunday by militants in Libya claiming loyalty to the Islamic State terror group purports to show the mass beheading of Coptic Christian hostages. The video, which appeared on the Twitter feed of a website that supports Islamic State (ISIS), depicts several men in orange jumpsuits being led along a beach, each accompanied by a masked militant. The men are made to kneel and one militant, dressed differently than the others, addresses the camera in North American accented English… The hostages are then laid face-down and simultaneously beheaded. Egyptian warplanes struck hard at ISIS militants in neighboring Libya, killing as many as 64 militants and destroying the Islamist terror group’s training camps and weapons caches a day after this sickening video surfaced. The strikes came after Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi went on national television in the world’s most populous Arab nation and vowed revenge was coming. The address was followed by the airing of military video showing the planes taking off for the mission and an armed forces general command statement saying the strikes were “to avenge the bloodshed and to seek retribution from the killers.”

The BBC reported: Jihadist militants from Islamic State (ISIS) have burned to death 45 people in the western Iraqi town of al-Baghdadi, the local police chief says. Exactly who these people were, and why they were killed is not clear, but Colonel Qasim al-Obeidi said he believed some were members of the Iraq’s security forces. ISIS fighters captured much of the town, near Ain al-Asad air base, last week.

Fox News also reported on the three day summit on Extremism: The president of the U.S. and top officials in his administration, as they have before, generally avoided using the term “radical Islam” during the summit. Instead, Obama argued that groups like the Islamic State “use Islam to justify their violence” and that to accept that connection would be to embrace the “terrorists’ narrative.” Obama on Thursday acknowledged the “unspeakable cruelty” inflicted by the Islamic State and said countries must be “unwavering” in fighting these groups. But he underscored the importance of improving political systems, boosting economies and making impoverished communities less susceptible to terror recruiters — echoing a comment from a State Department official this week that jobs-creation programs could be an effective counterterrorism tool. He offered no hint that the summit had produced a clear, unified and immediate global strategy to ultimately defeat the Islamic State — instead issuing the declaration to the Islamic world that, “We are not at war with Islam.”

The Voice of America reported Obama to say, “The notion that the West is at war with Islam is an ugly lie,” he said. “And all of us, regardless of our faith, have a responsibility to reject it.”

It is sad to see that America, and the rest of much of the world, is becoming anti-Semitic, anti-Christian, and anti-Bible. In this regard, it seems that history is repeating itself. While America steadily abandons God, rather than face the truth, we continue to live in denial. We desire to appease our enemies who will eventually turn on us, and at the same time, reject the God who is our only hope for security. We appear to be imitating ancient Judah. As God spoke to them, His words stand as a witness for us today:

And like their bow they have bent their tongues for lies. They are not valiant for the truth on the earth. For they proceed from evil to evil, and they do not know Me, says the LORD. Everyone take heed to his neighbor, and do not trust any brother; for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbor will walk with slanderers. Everyone will deceive his neighbor, and will not speak the truth; they have taught their tongue to speak lies; they weary themselves to commit iniquity. Your dwelling place is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know Me, says the LORD. Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts: Behold, I will refine them and try them; for how shall I deal with the daughter of My people? Their tongue is an arrow shot out; it speaks deceit; one speaks peaceably to his neighbor with his mouth, but in his heart he lies in wait. Shall I not punish them for these things? says the LORD. Shall I not avenge Myself on such a nation as this? (Jeremiah 9:3-9).
